How to Host Your Chai & Chill Hour:
A Step-by-Step Guide
Plan Your Event
Choose a Date and Time: Select a convenient time for your event, whether it's during a lunch break, after school, or on a weekend.
Pick a Location: Find a good spot at your school, office, or community center where participants can gather comfortably.
Invite Participants: Use posters, social media, emails, or word-of-mouth to invite friends, family, colleagues, or community members.
Set the Scene
Decorate: Create a warm and inviting atmosphere with simple decorations like tablecloths, flowers, and candles.
Prepare Chai and Iced Tea: Brew a large pot of chai using your favorite recipe or follow our suggested recipes below. Offer options like sugar, honey, and milk (including non-dairy alternatives). Prepare iced tea as a refreshing alternative.
Fundraising
Online Donations:Set up an online donation page for those who prefer digital contributions and share the link with your participants.
Suggested Donation: While any amount is appreciated, suggest a donation amount (e.g., £5 per person) to guide guests.
Engage and Educate
Inform Guests: Share information about the Girls' Human Rights Hub and the importance of supporting girls' rights. Use flyers, posters, or a brief presentation.
Discussion Topics: Encourage meaningful conversations by providing discussion prompts related to girls' rights and empowerment.
Follow Up
Thank Participants: Send thank-you notes or emails to everyone who attended and contributed, expressing gratitude for their support.

Chai Recipe: Traditional Masala Chai
Ingredients:
4 cups water
4 black tea bags or 4 teaspoons loose black tea
2 cups milk (or non-dairy alternative)
2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon grated ginger
4-5 cardamom pods, crushed
4-5 whole cloves
1-2 cinnamon sticks
1-2 black peppercorns
Instructions
1. In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
2. Add the grated ginger, cardamom pods, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and black peppercorns. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Add the tea bags or loose tea and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
4. Pour in the milk and sugar. Stir well and bring to a gentle boil.
5. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes, then strain the chai into cups.
6. Serve hot and enjoy!
